What to Expect When You Book a Class

What's included in lessons?

Most lessons will cover the following essentials to some degree. Other elements will be specific and relevant to the particular class.

  • Fish Habits and Habitat

Lessons vary in length, mostly in one-hour increments. Fees include a contribution towards the cost of day permits, baits, consumables and tackle.
Typical prices for individual 1-to-1 lessons: start at £35 for your first hour
Additional costs may apply for some lessons and/or venues, such as extra mileage and/or higher venue ticket prices.

Our individual 1-to-1 lessons are designed for young people or adults who want to try angling for the first time, or improve their angling skills with the undivided attention of a qualified coach.

No pressure, no complicated equipment, and no experience needed.
The 1-to-1 nature of these lessons allows you to ask questions you might not want to ask in a group setting.

Focus lessons are designed for anglers who have picked up the basics and want to concentrate on specific techniques.    

Focus lessons build on beginner sessions using the undivided attention of a qualified coach.

Everything can be provided, however at this stage, you will probably have and want to use your own tackle that you are familiar with.

The focus is on:

  • Specific methods.

  • Building on existing knowledge.
  • Fine-tuning technique.
  • Relaxing and enjoying being outdoors
